• Brilliant Basics office opening party!

We were very lucky to be invited to the Brilliant Basics new office opening at the Bower Building in Old Street London this week.

Brilliant Basics has been acquired by the large Indian consultancy Infosys and are going to be building what could be the largest Experience Practise in London.

The space is definitely going to be feeding their innovation with access to VR, testing labs, AI desk spaces, 3D Printing as well as a stand out events space.

This is not the first large consultancy to back a Design Lead business and seeing some great success stories in the market like Capgemini with Idean and Accenture with Karmarama, we are more than excited to see this capability grow and the work they produce.

The desire to better understand design thinking is driving the acquisitions of design consultancies as well as boosting the overall creativity of businesses. Consultancies are not the only businesses growing their design capabilities with big tech giants like Facebook and Google increasing their teams by over 60%.

During our afternoon in their new space, we managed to rescue a virtual cat from a ledge, meet an inspirational Mental Fitness business, drink a cocktail made by a robot and hear from the incredible Emma Sexton about her experience leveraging design to drive business success.

These new experience labs are definitely hubs of creativity and I am very glad to have another one so close to District4 in Farringdon.
