The London Gophers hosted yet another fantastic meetup in County Hall – Cloudfare’s amazing new offices. There were roughly 200 gophers at this meet up to listen to the engaging talks and pig-out on the free food and drink.:D
After everyone got their fill, we sat down to listen to a talk on varying types of (Instagram) filters using Go, from Wayne Ashley Berry. Discussing how to implement high-quality image filters without any dependencies in pure Go.
After this we dived into an amusing lightening talk from Mark Regensberg of Utility Warehouse taking us through a discussion on Exploring Go Malware, providing a great insight into Go’s impact on the overall malware ecosystem.:)
We then gave ourselves time to dip back into the complementary refreshments and allow people to discuss this month’s Go conundrum, during the break.
Daniel Marti then rounded things off with a discussion on Refraining gofmt for Go 2.0, talking through the design, it’s weaknesses and some potential ideas that could come into play in the future of Go code formatting.
Great night as usual, with some excellent speakers!
On to the next one
Do you need some help?
